Never mind having 100 backers; Sunak, or anyone else wanting to be PM, needs several million backers. These Tories really need to get the message. Everyone, but them, is demanding an election, and now!

@deejay7648 The Tories don’t seem to realise they will be even more hammered in a GE the longer they hold off. They need to put country before naked self-interest, given their disastrous mishandling of affairs.

@alsolano2825 Who said I supported Labour? While not a fan of the Tories, Labour also doesn’t do that much for me either. No, this whole thing is bigger than tribal party politics: it’s a crisis of democracy. Why is it that we essentially just have 2 choices every time we go to vote? For some it’s a Hobson’s Choice; 2 sides of the same coin. The voting system needs a radical overhaul. When I go to the supermarket, I don’t expect just a choice between bread or slightly staler bread.

@jimbojimbo6873 Yes, they do, Jimbo. 46 odd million voters in UK. 60% average turnout. I make that ‘several million’ to win a majority.
