  4.  @Jane-rc2rk  6 weeks are paid. They still get their pro-rata on the other 6 weeks. And your second point is just balderdash. Once a teacher is bedded in and has built up a bank of lesson plans (this usually takes a couple of years), the vast majority of them are not creating lesson plans from scratch and they are not spending their holiday time working. Some do. Most (vast majority) don’t.
