Blaming contemporary people for slavery is a bit like blaming me because my grandfather was a mass-murderer.

@jrocxib Really? On that basis everyone who has ever been colonised/enslaved can claim reparations. Given this, what’s the cut-off time? 100 years? 200? 1000? This is all invidious stuff, and my basic point is that I, as I type this now, had nothing to do with slavery, and thereby should not be asked for money for something I never did.
