Remember, politicians are essentially self-interested and looking out for themselves and their party. This fella has resigned, and on the face of it, it looks like the honourable thing to do. However, he’s simply made the calculation that Johnson could be a grave liability for Tory re-election at the next Election, and he would be right to make that calculation.
