“Welcome to the US: we are thinking of arming our teachers.” 👩🏫 “Welcome to the UK: we don’t even arm most of our police!” 👮♂️

@swabby913 Having lived in the US and the UK, I feel 10x safer in the UK. Just sayin’! 🤠

The question America has to ask itself is whether it wants to protect its Second Amendment Rights, and ‘A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed,’ in the face of a country with less than five percent of the world's population, having nearly half of the world's privately owned guns and making up nearly a third of the world's mass shootings. Personal freedom to protect one’s liberty with a gun, or collective freedom to live relatively free from fear of gun death at the hands of a homicidal maniac?

@feurigerStern Red herring. Higher rates of stabbing in the US. Cope.
3
@dv8322 I feel perfectly free here in the UK. Cope harder.

@azul8811 👍

@swabby913 The stats back it up, son. Wtf are you on about? You are 4x more likely to be murdered in the US than in Europe. No ‘feelings’ there, chum; just facts. How do you feel about that?🤓
2
@swabby913 You talk like there are no big cities in Europe and we all live on rural farmsteads!😂
2
@beefchowmein Having lived in 6 countries, travelled to about 50 (I’m old), I feel freer and safer in the UK (and in Europe in general) than in any of those other places. Including the US where I was constantly on edge in a place where mistrust of one’s neighbour runs rife, and because that neighbour invariably has a gun, it tends to give one the jitters. Think on.
1
@kamii_999 Not a slave to anyone, son. You Yankee Doodles really do need to get out more!🤣
1
@belowaveragegamer95 Red herring. The US has more stabbings per capita than the UK and Europe. Got any other crap stats, mate?🤓
1
@azul8811 4x more in the US. And, your point?
1
@jason120378 Go back where?
1
@belowaveragegamer95 Per capita, dummy! 4x more per capita! Jeez. American education ain’t what it used to be. Man alive.
1
@iamjoeysteel Yes, but taken as a whole the UK has about 0.005% of mass shootings the States has. Just a thought.
1
@swabby913 Actually, where I live, I’m 10x safer. I checked the stats. Think on.😉
1
@swabby913 Yes, but the fact remains that, taken as a whole, the US has 4x more homicides than Europe. Just cope, man. You can’t escape this very obvious fact.
1
@swabby913 Ever heard of the idea of smuggling a gun into a city. 😉
1
@swabby913 Yes, but for the last frickin’ time: taken as a whole the US is 4x more dangerous than Europe. Statistical fact. Now I’m done here as this is just getting boring.
1
@iamjoeysteel 4x. 4x. 4x. 👈Read it and weep, Joey baby!
1
@iamjoeysteel It’s statistical fact, Joey. Jeez. You Americans really went wrong with elementary education somewhere along the line.
1
@iamjoeysteel 🥱
1
@swabby913 Ah. So you admit it’s 4x more dangerous. Now we’re getting somewhere. 😉
1
@swabby913 Bored now, m8. Find someone else to argue your triggers with. One final point: I lived in the States for 5 years, so I know whereof I speak. The objective stats back up my subjective ‘felt’ experience. Quite frankly, and I take no real pleasure in saying this: America is a deeply, profoundly sick society and I’m deeply worried for where it may end up.
1
@swabby913 Bored. Move on ffs.
1
@swabby913 “You should ease up on your condescension. Its (sic) a bad look.” 🤣 Er, hello ? Did you look in a 🪞 after writing this deeply patronising sentence? 😂
1
@swabby913 All too well, m8; all too well.😉
1
@swabby913 Azul made a rather apposite point which you’ve conveniently side-swerved, I’ve noticed.😉
1
@swabby913 It’s all been said here, m8. All the best.👍
