@zackharris8373 Like you, I’m also a sucker for this stuff, which kind of suggests I secretly think there is something to it. 🛸I’m in no doubt they are ‘out there’, on statistical probability alone, I just doubt they are ‘in here’, as we speak. That said, some of the videos I have seen recently did give me a slight shiver. What slightly bugs 🐜 me about the whole phenomenon, though, and particularly in the 🇺🇸, is how so much of this stuff is tagged onto Biblical prophecy. I listen to it, but am not convinced. Anyway, nice chatting, man. ✌️

@FvtvreClvb Well, as to the Bible, in my opinion, that is just a repository of tales to humour those who need a bit of liveliness in their lives, and who may not have access to other fantastical means of satiating their appetites. 😳

Yeah, but our furthest out object, Voyager 1, is ‘only’ currently 14 billion miles away from Earth having been launched in 1977, whereas Proxima Centauri, our nearest star, is 4.22 light years away, or in other words, using current technology, what would take us 6,300 years to reach. This sheer scale of the Universe, for me, makes it nigh-on impossible that we have been visited by extraterrestrial beings or crafts. However, given the 200 billion trillion stars in the known Universe, I don’t for one moment, simply on the balance of statistical probability, doubt that they are ‘out there’; just not ‘in here’.

Yeah, I bet you don’t believe in God. Hence, I would argue, you’ve replaced that with aliens. Deal with being alone. The Universe is big and very very empty.

@FvtvreClvb Yeah, could be. Or could be he’s making some 💰 cash off the back of a pile of untrue 💩 crap. Difficult. For me, many of these witness testimonies are akin to folk who tell me they have a close personal relationship with God. My sceptical sensor outweighs my credulous gene, somewhat.

@The_winds_of_change Fair points. Well made. All I know is this: when I lie I avoid eye contact. Perhaps my mistake is generalising this behaviour to the wider populace. I would also add, how many times has this guy been asked to recollect his (false?) memories? Surely, at this point they’d be well-rehearsed. In the final account, I go on gut (not always infallible) and my gut here tells me this guy is, at the very least, not being ingenuous with us.👽

That’s a known commercial technique. For example, on tv they do that all the time. Commercials are significantly louder. I think you know why.
