That really applies to both sides. The current Russian one is that they have economy class thermals for their T-72s.

@iMost067 The new Russian sights are uncooled. While Leopard 2 A5 introduced cooled IR sights. SOSNA-U is now being restricted to T-90M production.

@Allen T.G Those tanks have a had cooled IR sights for 20 years. While the new Russian sights are uncooled, according to Russia itself.

@johnjennings9043 We're talking about passive IR sights. Not the Soviet era active IR spotlights.

@HistoryLegends Let's be honest this is the only thing propping up your channel. Your game and film reviews never took off.

@CaptainIceberg Although you do when the other side is also using drones, to attack your artillery. The tank's CITV can be used to spot the drones themselves. If you don't know CITV is the seperate rotable thermal sight on NATO tanks. It's used by the commander to spot targets independent of the gunner. Allowing the commander to immediately overtake the controls to the next target, after the gunner fires at the first target.

@Mr. X So does the guy in the video know how war works. He been saying Bakhmut was going to fall over 8 months.
2
@Blugale Doh It seemed more that he used his traveling as an excuse. He could have easily dropped something through YouTube community. Say a poll or at least mention he was away.
1
@Blugale Doh What are you talking about. His vacation post was after the breakthrough took place. Only then he bring up the issue, in the community post section. You can even read the comments of people calling him out. Because a week had passed before he brought up, he was visiting France.
1
@Blugale Doh Yeah, from my end I was more like, "dude just tell us you're taking a break". It felt pretty weird that something big happened, and then it randomly doesn't addressed for a week. Not to mention that I've been here long before the war started. That I honestly know most of this guy's viewers just want contarian content. And he needs to keep it up because the old content definitely was not gaining traction back then. It's really no secret that a lot of red pillers are pro-Russia. Simply because they see it as getting back at Western liberalism/SJWs, as bizzare that geopolitical logic sounds.
1
@Blugale Doh To be more specific, I mean the fringe naive/nilistic elements. That see electing certain joke candidates as a catharsis. Because they often have self-destructive tendencies. And rather see the West lose power. Because they mistakingly believe their own social problems are somehow interlinked to liberalism. That's entirely different to say the "baby boomer" type of contrarianism. Which is closer to what you're describing. Those guys will often flip, simply based on what label you place on something. Like half-heartedly support Russia because it apparently annoys the Democrats. Although China is always bad because they're "communist". Which in their mind Russia hates, despite in reality they're both allies. In that case, their only gripe is because a Democrat is involved. Although if it were suddenly a Republican, then apparently even questioning it is "un-American". Consistency be damn.
1
@Blugale Doh Hell, I didn't think about that. Although back in the day, he probably could have said, "we're placing troops between Russian and Ukraine. And he probably would not have been questioned by his base. Considering he assassinated an Iranian General and his allies made every excuse to hand wave it. Despite he angered a lot of people. Because he was aiding the Iraqi government, who was busy fighting ISIS. Thus, it probably temporarily strengthened them until his successor could be appointed.

Is it really different than Russia in the Syria War. What he described is fairly common. Russia did the same ethnic Serbian militias in the Yugoslav Wars.
1
@Lofi's stealin' Although they were clearly supporting and financing their allies were they. Also Russia is clearly attacking Ukraine. So why bring the issue of who's attacking.
1
@Lofi's stealin' And what about it. NATO already knows Russia can't retaliate. It's nuclear stockpile is obsolete and mostly non-functional. NATO has had intercept capacity over a decade. And Russia doesn't benefit from exploding nukes near its own territory. There is really not much Russia can do.
1
Why Iraq, that country didn't fall. Also, the same logic of NATO supplying Ukraine would apply to Russia supplying the DPR and LPR. Or how is Russian state own media a more reliable source?
1
Mercenaries are not subordinate to their host millitary.
1
@thetrollman6596 Are they really, Russia holds less territory than they did 10 months ago.
1
This guy does know the difference. He was getting all sorts of weapons wrong in his pre-war content. To the point people were telling him not to even bother with talking about it.
