Comments by "Kevin Smithwick" (@KSmithwick1989) on "How Ukraine Plans to DESTROY the Russian Fleet in Crimea" video.
Technically, the US is older than 240 years old. It declared independence in 1776. Hell Crimea was also annexed by Russia in 1783. Ironcally, the same year the US became an internationally recognized nation. So, saying Crimea has been Russian longer than the US been around really makes no sense.

While clearly being overlooked by Russian troops. And after those same troops took over the region. Like if Russia was ever going to allow the referendum to fail. 😂

So, in other words you're mad Ukraine destroyed 2 Russian ships with Western assistance. How it happened still doesn't really change the fact that it did happen.

@timsmith8797 No, Russia clearly broke the 1994 Budapest Memorandum when it annexed Crimea.

That makes no sense, as Russians are the majority in Crimea. Because the Russians systematically deported the native Tartars, then replaced them with Russians. The minority narrative makes no sense there, or the Eastern oblasts.

The problem is that it's a railroad. It's a fixed structure that will be constantly attacked. It's bad enough that almost everybody knew about it even before it was complete.

No, it's probably more because modern Russia is built on Soviet era myths. If it was the Soviet millitary they would have just seized the government. Instead of creating massive traffic jams, then retreating. While making unconvincing excuses it was a "good will gesture". Then repeating that same excuses for over a year, whenever they lose territory. The same territory they claimed to have annexed and cited as a reason for the war.

There's really not much Russia can do. If that was even the case, then the war would have ended over a year ago.

That ridiculous, the construction crews would be under constant risk of attack. Along with whatever ship or train that is moving the materials. That is clearly easier to destroy.

@ddoumeche The obvious difference is the Germans didn't have to deal with reconnaissance satellites essentially parked over the construction site. Or the advanced precision missles and maritime drones that are now available.

@ddoumeche Yeah agreed, they should put a couple of Sam's Clubs nearby. 😆

@kermuray So how many Km did they take?
