Basically it's a defensive retreat with covering elements. As opposed to a route, where there's no real organization.

The North Atlantic Fellas Organization, a meme play on NATO. Basically the Vatniks (pro-Russians) are trying to use it as an insult. But the pro-Ukrainian meme guys who made it achieved their objective. By simply wasting their time trying to get normal people to care about the meme, as an insult. All in all, it's pretty pointless.

@FordFalcon1962nBlue Yeah, someone should have told Alex that. 😂

They actually did on the flanks. The city is located in a valley. Securing the high ground that overlooks the city is necessary, before advancing.

The article you mentioned, talks about Ukraine transitioning from a Soviet based millitary to a NATO one.

@FordFalcon1962nBlue The operation began on 1 August 2022. That the day the Russian MOD declared the battle began. With their initial assaults on the city outskirts.

Funny you say that, when Russia is clearly a deep state government. The president himself was a KGB officer. Lol😂

@Avp Pr Which still doesn't change the fact his government is a deep state ploy. To consolidate power to a few oligarchs allied to United Russia. Or the fact they embezzled large quantities of state funds. Which later undermined their own millitary.

@rickandbrandonshow Just wondering, given how fortified it was. Why was Russia dumb enough to assault it head on. It would have made more sense to encircle it. Which is the historical method when seizing cities.
1
Not really, because it's just pushing Russia into a Chinese debt trap. To the point that Russia is selling oil to China at sub-market prices. Just to keep their own economy afloat.
1
@JackGordone Granted modern Russia is objectively a shell of the Soviet Union. To the extent most of their vehicles, arms, and ammo are left over from the USSR.

Your mistake is thinking there's serious people on /pol/. I thought those boards didn't exist anymore. Given 4Chan went out of style about a decade ago.
1
@LitlBlackDragonNinja The real issue is improper storage. The Russians stored most of the tanks in the open air. And did so in regions subject to freeze-thaw cycles.
1
They would have deployed already. Mobilization is based on one year obligations, starting from the point they're mustered for training.
1
About that, why do the Russians want to use the Soviet name from the Stalinist era. When the original historical name going back 1571 is Bakhmut. Why even remind people of Stalin.

What's your country?

Given that the territory around the city is being taken, that's definitely not a good thing. Prigozhin has benn pretty mad about the Russian millitary losing the flanks.
