  1. I have mixed feelings on removing the permit process which gives me an uneasy feeling. As a CC holder I don't need one of the five dollar purchase permits but with so many people buying firearms this item would seem to slow them down, at least a little. My experience with an in-law who wanted a pistol even though he was a drug addict and under psychological care is enough to give me pause. The local sheriff would not authorize a purchase permit so he tried to steal one of his fathers. Just thinking what if the sheriff had issued a purchase permit.
