  1. Lot's of first time gun owners go to the ranges so even with the required training the range officials need to be vigilant for safety infractions. I've seen newbies (and others) turn around with firearms not pointed downrange, also watched someone drop their firearm. Also had an old friend who literally shot himself in the foot,.. Hopefully there is a follow up on this incident,
