I arrived at the local DMV to stand outside in the walk-in line since NO appointments were available forever. As the line grew the DMV manager came out and announced "Most of you are not getting in so I suggest you go somewhere else", then proceeded to tell us how the lobby was already full and we should have been there early morning. Someone shouted the website says walk-in's start at 1:00pm and he replied that is false, the line starts at 7:00 am. A little later an employee came out and started putting our names on a list and handing out numbers, said we would be texted when to come inside. The manager then told us there was a HARD STOP at 4:30 and the number we were given was for today only and again suggested we go somewhere else. Being only 4th in line I decided to wait, and was rewarded with my number being called a few hours later, just to get inside the door to a full waiting room.
