Ready, the Japanese military didn't build weapons, the Japanese military didn't manufacture ammunition, the Japanese military didn't grow food, the Japanese military didn't build warships, the Japanese military didn't built airplanes, the Japanese military didn't manufacture uniforms, combat boots, or communications equipment. Want to take a guess where all those war materials came from?

  2. Each summer this same remembrance comes around with the same people claiming Japan had already surrendered or complaining about the civilian casualties. It could be pointed out the Japanese planed to fight to the last man which was experienced in Iwo Jima, Okinawa, etc,... Might as well also remind them the Japanese military did not, build weapons, manufacture ammunition, sew uniforms or combat boot, make their own airplanes, ships, grow their own food or any of the multitude of war supplies. Who did that, why it was civilians which included women and children.

  6. Perhaps listening to the testimony of those who were there, the orders to the military might enlighten you. Pay particular attention to the order not to bother helping women and children and instead help those men that were essential to the war effort.

  8.  @ginevragali2981  Traded with the US, not supplied by, and that had mostly to do with oil, steel, even scrap metal. Changed nothing as to the civilians working in the Japanese military industrial complex which by that time had much of their eventual empire under direct control.
