  1. For years I was satisfied with the Oak or Maple plywood from Lowes/Home Depot for my projects. It cost a bit more ($55-60 for a 3/4 sheet) but was always stable, smooth, and finished nicely. Now a sheet is $80-90-100 and warps, separates, has voids, basically useless.
