Friend of mine was always raving about how much money he saved by shopping at Walmart so I showed him why. The toothpaste I like was priced lower at WM, same brand, same size box, only difference was Target had a 6oz tube in that box while WM had a 3.5 oz tube. I was using Dial soft soap at that time, Target was $5.xx for a 24 oz bottle that was 12 inches tall and 3 inches wide. WM had that same looking bottle for $3.5x but only 16 oz which is actually more expensive. Same strategy with ground coffee (10.5 oz versus 12 oz), dog food, and who knows how many other products which Walmart demands to be specially packaged so they can appear to the uneducated to have lower prices.
