  1. Anderson Silva easily won the decision, anyone that thinks otherwise is wrong. Thanks to the new scoring wrestlers will no longer be able to win decisions by just pressing someone against the cage or laying on top of them like Brunson did in this fight. If you want to win you have to actually fight. Brunson was actually running away at some points in the fight. Silva came to fight, Brunson came to run away and try to hold Silva down.

  4. How can you say Eddie won the staredown? To me it looked like Conor won. Conor maintained intense eye contact while Alvarez backed up and started smiling and laughing which is usually a sign that person is nervous and intimidated.

What do you think would happen if Demetrius Johnson tried to fight at 170 lbs? He would get destroyed, does that mean he doesn't belong on the top p4p list either? You need to learn what p4p means.

  7. Claudia did nothing but lay on top of and hug Joanna for the first two rounds, not very impressive. Joanna showed everyone she was clearly the better fighter.

  11.  @svengali5862  Nope. You are the one that sounds silly. Paul Davis is correct. The UFC is already huge in the American market. They want to expand globally. The UFC is not huge in China yet which is why they desperately want a big star fighter from China in order to expand into that market. The UFC already has the American market locked down, they are interested in global expansion in case you haven't noticed.

  14. If Anderson Silva was still in his prime I would give it to Anderson easily, but at over 40 years old he is not the same fighter he was, he is slower and his chin is not what it used to be. If the fight happened now I would give it to DC.

Those first two rounds were boring as fuck. Thankfully Joanna turned it into an actual fight in the last three rounds.

This is the sport of fighting, I don't know why some people are so focused on things that are not related to fighting when discussing fighters. I only care about the fights. Luke is a great fighter so I enjoy watching him fight. That's it. It is all that matters to me.

It's when fighters just take down and hold the other fighter on the ground or against the cage like Claudia was doing that is very boring to watch.

  37. Lucky Star, the difference is level of competition. Who has Karolina beat that is worth noting? She had a hard time against Markos and Rose is a huge step up in competition. It was the same thing with VanZant, she was winning a bunch of fights against nobodies and then finally had a real fight against Rose and got dominated. Karolina will be exposed the same way, Rose is simply a level ahead in every aspect of fighting.

  38. Lucky Star I was being realistic. With what was known at the time, Karolina did not face the same level of competition Rose did. That was a fact. Now with the new information collected from the most recent fight, Karolina showed she does have what it takes to compete with higher level competition. She is still going to get destroyed by Joanna though.

  39. Lucky Star It depends on if Karolina can go 5 rounds, we don't know how her gas tank is yet since she never had a 5 round fight. It might go to a decision, but if it does it will be a lop-sided (50-45) decision in favor of Joanna rather than a close decision. Joanna's striking is just too good for anyone in the division, she will always make everyone else look bad.

  45. +Clymax01 Ummm, no. The weight classes are fine how they are, the only thing that I would change is maybe add a 225 lbs Cruiserweight division between Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight since that 60 lbs weight range from 205 to 265 is pretty big.

Conor did not put on 20 lbs for this fight, he was about the same weight he always is when he fights, he just did not cut any weight for this fight. If anything Conor should have had even more energy for this fight than he usually does since he did not have to go through such a huge weight cut which drains a lot out of you.

  48. anth4x No fighter fights at the weight class they weigh in for, they cut water weight the day before the weigh-ins. When Conor fights at 145 he cuts to 145 lbs the day before the fight, then come fight day when he rehydrates he is back up to around 165 lbs, he never actually fights at 145 lbs. For his fight with Nate Diaz he didn't have to go through that weight cutting process, but he was still around the same weight he always is even when he fights at 145.

  50. Brock will win if he is able to take Hunt down quickly, Brock's wrestling is excellent and his ground and pound is brutal. On the other hand if Brock can't take Hunt down then Hunt will likely win by KO, Brock's striking is just not on Hunt's level.
