Imo he's saying "try me, try me, see what happens" not "fight me".
I commented on Guru's video something similar - I'm from Auckland, there are dudes like this everywhere. Mostly Maori's. I have had and seen this happen so many times I can't count. You can get cussed out, stepped out, for absolutely no reason. NZ has a real "tough guy" culture, especially around Maoris. A lot of them come across as mentally unwell or unstable. There are so many dudes walking the street looking for a fight, it feels really unsafe.
As Brad Riddell stated in one of his post-fight interviews (his fight after one of their training partners was sucker-punched and killed down Queen street in the CBD) - he mentioned he has lived and trained all around the world, and nowhere feels more unsafe than NZ. I completely agree with him, NZ has so much of this amongst minorities, and a lot of it is ignored because it is considered part of native culture. But yeah, long story short, you can be minding your own business and some dude will just start hurling abuse at you looking for a fight absolutely unprovoked. So I completely believe Adesanya.
