  1. I believe the use of PRIDE in this context began with gays and lesbians many years ago when most of them were "In there Closet". At that time PRIDE referred to them being brave enough to "Come Out of the Closet". So PRIDE referred to their ACTION (something they did), but now PRIDE refers to what they are. This is a perverted use of pride and becomes the kind of PRIDE that comes before the fall. That is nothing to be proud about.
