@sunrae120 Thank you to you. I'm a white guy who accepts this practice if blacks want to use it with each other. But I really would prefer the word to not be used at all out of respect. I'll continue to live with this as I love the Twins but I'd prefer them not to speak it, hard R or soft.

I have a little story that happened 58 years ago. I'm white and was brought up in a white community. In second grade there was a girl who had something dark (probably dirt) on her mouth and someone asked what it was. I said " She kissed a n-word). I honestly had no idea what I was saying at that age. My teacher heard it, called me to the front of the room, told me I would burn in hell, and slapped my hands with a ruler. I always thought, and still do, that telling me I'd go to hell was over the top, but I'm thankful that old white woman set me straight and shook me up. Fortunately I grew up in a Christian home and my parents taught me by example, to love all people. There was a period of time where we would give a black woman and her children rides to church. I just don't understand why anyone would believe skin color has anything to do with character.
