@jonlanier_ I would say that the preacher should be considered the leader. The leader's job is to adhere to the word and hopefully interpret it properly. Someone visiting a church is going to judge based mostly on the preachers ability to communicate to their soul. How can a person know how the church adheres to the word of God but through the preacher, not to dismiss the love of the people in the church. Would a person walk up to the church and ask "hey church, do you adhere to the word of God? I would take Jordan Peterson as a pastor any day. To be counseled by him would be highly rewarding.
