I hate to disappoint everybody's excitement about Massachusetts but I've lived here all my life (67 years) and the drought we are experiencing here is no worse than those in the past. Every thing is nice and green in the western part of the state. I have seen the rivers this low many times in the past here. Feel free to worry though and feel afraid for us if you'd like.

@marcgottlieb9579 Magnetic reversal. That would make sense to me as the whole world seems to have turned upside down in so many ways. What was bad is now good and what was good is now bad, etc..

The Colorado river problem is real but not due to climate change. Too many people draining what is there, yes, caused by man.

@Automedon2 The rivers I see where I am don't carry boats so my observation on that could be meaningless compared to locations with deeper rivers. What puzzles me more is that after reading your comment I took a look out all sides at the lawns recently cut around me, and they are lush green. To be honest I don't know what to say. Where I live in Berkshire county there are a lot of trees throughout my neighborhood with no fields. Could that make a difference? I'm not one to delve much in conspiracies but I'm beginning to wonder how our observations could be so different as I honestly have no reason to question your conclusions. The conspiracy idea would be that someone is poisoning or watering our lawns without our knowledge, which I would find an absolutely ridiculous idea. This feels like an episode of "The Twilight Zone".

@Automedon2 That makes sense. I have not travelled out of Berkshire County since Covid started so I'm isolated in a good place. Thank you for this explanation as it works better for me than other explanations.
