  1. "The Rich" should be "High Income Earners". Regardless, as an independent I have never run into any Democrat or Republican who doesn't agree, as I do, on eliminating this cap. Everyone I have discussed this with is baffled as to why they don't do this as it is fair and so simple to completely solve the SS problem. The guest say's it's only a few hundred billionaires holding this back. That's silly, as the millionaires would count as well. All these politicians are millionaires and BOTH sides are at fault here.

  3. Only people making an income from a job. All CEO's for example get a PAYCHECK and pay into SS so therefore will collect. Income from investments incurs capital gains taxes but is not linked with SS.

  4. That is a very good point I haven't considered and would be a problem. How about we keep the cap for employers but lift it for the employee portion?

  6. This channel is focused mostly on two things. 1. Republicans, 2. The Rich. I have seen "borrowing from SS" occasionally on more conservative leaning sources.
