  1. Thom is incorrect on SS. He says "Basically this is what Social Security is. You pass a certain age, and guess what, you've got a guaranteed basic income". This is not true. I contributed from every paycheck to SS for over forty years. That was over 2000 times I contributed for my share. Retirement SS is not an entitlement, it is a savings account.
