  1. Jim Jones was not a right wing Christian at all, he was more of a socialist who used his congregation to help political Democrat candidates, besides murdering his flock. There are several good documentaries here on YouTube covering this. Yes, he did believe himself divine. He once threw a bible down the aisle at a church service to prove God would not strike him down. I guess he was right.
