  1. Universal means everyone. I have to believe everybody here would agree that it would be absurd to give this to all the wealthy people too. I think a more reasonable plan to help those who need help would be preferable to giving wealthy people money. Has anyone considered this???

  2. That's interesting and I wonder why few would apply for it. I'll guess that in order to get it in Spain, they probably require citizens to sign over all that they own to the state. I would not choose this because I'm retired, having worked for what I have and need no further assistance. Others would sign up for it and unfortunately I will have to help pay for it.

  3.  @jimhewes7507  This would go to everyone including the wealthy. A better plan is in order to only help those who need it.

  4. All wealthy people who do not need it will get it too, and it will create no equity.
