  1. REAPER (audio mixing software) is on the honor system, with an incredibly reasonable price. If you don't pay, you have to see that fact every time you open it, but the software works fully regardless. When I first used it, after 2 days I paid for it because it is more than worth the cost and I love their business model. It will work perfectly fine if I don't pay, but my philosophy closely matches Louis's, and I WANT to pay them for the incredible value.They also have a fantastic forum, with experienced users chomping at the bit to offer help.
