Suresh Kalmadi has a very long history of corruption. Man, the corruption of the Commonwealth games doesn't compare to the one that was conducted during the Commonwealth Youth Games. The kickbacks were enormous, land grabs by Kalmadi's goons were pretty common, all that land grab cases are yet to contested in courts. Kalmadi, is also a Gandhi family sycophant and was close the Gandhis. He orchestrated Sonia's ascension as Party President and later did the same for Rahul. He damaged Congress and the Gandhi family's reputation with his corruption with Sports in India.

@ragas2845 Gandhi family needs it's own documentary series. Kalmadi brought disrepute to the family and the family still kept him around. That itself should show you how involved in corruption they are. The family also reappointed Tytler despite his direct involvement in the Anti Sikh riots. So that you tell you everything about how much the Gandhi family cares about human values. In case it's not clear, Gandhi family don't care unless it's about themselves.

Judges would rather adjourn than decide on the outcome. Well, they earn bribes by setting dates. Not to mention there's a huge issue of pending cases (again most of them due to badly written laws).

Vice Asia should look into National Herald. There's a lot of juicy bits in there.

It is cultural. Judges would rather adjourn than decide on a case. In addition to that, they are overworked (we are starting to find out the scale of it - since the current Govt and the CJI have been pushing for it; a side effect of their push to improve productivity of Commercial courts). There's roughly about 20 judges per million. The US with 1/3rd has 5 times more judges.

@Snowneutrino652 this is partially true. Cases are made to collapse and judges are bought to adjourn cases ad nauseam.
