  1. Udit Misra is an good example of a Globalized Confused Pardesi (GCP). He talks about neo-liberalized getting debunked in the west - sure he is entitled to that view, but the economic environment of the West is vastly different from that of India. Decades of deregulation in the West has lead to an environment of underregulation, that is not the case in India. We are not even remotely close to being a neo-liberal economy and definitely not at the levels of laissaz faire deregulated markets of the West. But Udit is worried that neoliberalism is upon our heads thus we need more regulation. This kind of thinking only comes from someone who thinks Mumbai is New York and thinks what happens in New York is also happening in Mumbai. Like I said, Globalized Confused Pardesi.
