I found it rather interesting that the former German naval chief mentioning that Putin wants respect during a visit to Delhi to an audience of Indian strategic thinkers and diplomatic corp.

@nosamsemaj9150 I am not exactly sure about the why. It's not like Indian strategic planners need advice on relations with Russia. I watched the entire talk, so he was talking more about pivoting towards China. The entire respect for Putin definitely felt out of place and more a signal for Berlin to mend relations with Russia and continue the pivot towards China.

@Ruben Schilling I seriously doubt that allegation. The Navy chief definitely knew he was being taped. He even had a presser with local media.
