If you can't figure out what to do with your life after your tour of duty then you don't deserve to be a veteran. All the training and discipline of the service is wasted on your pathetic life.

You can still earn a living, go back to college, earn a degree or start a business or use the skills you learn in the armed forces for a job. There's a lot of technical skills you pick up in the army, it's not just guns and marches. Who maintains those tanks? Jawans do. Those top quality skills are in demand in manufacturing. It's not all bad, it's about mindset and applying the skills you have to move forward.
