What we call the Western media is essentially Anglosphere media. The rest of western media like DW, Der Spiegel are more contextual. WaPo and NYT are not the press media of the yesteryears. NYT no longer maintains a full foreign press bureau. American press now employs contributors who fill the role of bureaus. Funding for international news has been cut drastically, contributions aren't as thorough or scrutinized as they used to be. This isn't an India specific issue with Anglosphere media. Look at WaPo/NYT coverage of Canada and the quality becomes evident.

@shauryatripathi838 we are pretty tunnel visioned about coverage of India that we don't see the decline in quality of "foreign" press coverage
