  1. SPACs in the US context applies to Startups. Startsup are essentially privately listed companies, if they want to raise money for an acquisition they would need to raise an IPO on their company. This might not be suitable based on the situation for the Startup, so they work around it by creating a SPAC and listing that SPAC for an acquisition of other Startups.
