Well it's not. It's just the enthusiasm from the poll win hasn't faded yet. It's been about 100 days since MK Stalin was elected. It's a well known poll phenomenon.

Sure. But why not incentivize them to reinvest in the economy rather than complaining about their wealth? Pretty sure the millionaires and billionaires put in a lot of work building their wealth in an extremely business hostile environment.

@ramjidharmaraj he's right. Our grain distribution is local. The impact of fuel prices is minimal. What's happening is there's supply side constraints particularly logistical bottlenecks. With all logistics preoccupied with delivering vaccines, healthcare supplies etc there aren't enough trucks to transport food. Even if there's trucks then they have to deal with State lockdown procedures. Also, this phase of inflation is also primarily driven by imported cooking oil, particularly palm oil. We import that from Malaysia. Guess what, Malaysia is going through a massive spike in Covid cases. So there's no workers to extract palm oil, package and export it.

@ramjidharmaraj dude, our cities are surrounded by reserve agricultural land. Just look up any land use map on Bhoomirashi or DP. Our States still don't allow for interstate trade of agricultural produce unless if it comes through FCI. Outside of specific produce listed Essential Commodities Act, no other produce crosses state lines (as yet). We also don't have enough cold storage to store goods for kind of long distance transport. My onions comes from Vashi APMC whose procurement zone doesn't extend beyond Raigad, Thane and Palghar district. Same goes to literally every fresh produce you buy from a sabziwala (not your fancy grocery store). Dude seriously, be better informed. All the information is available online, go check your local APMC portal, file RTIs, check your State's ministry of agriculture.

I think the August 2020 survey can be considered as an outlier. Every world leader had similar huge bumps because of the call to action effect of the pandemic response. Economy is the focus is a good thing. Hopefully this is treated as a wake up call. They really need to follow through on reforms and regulations. Adityanath at 11% means his rating for UP might be higher. I wonder what age demographics are for Congress voters are. This poll is a much needed wake up and tempers the hubris within the BJP.
