Comments by "M Shastri" (@libshastra) on "Controversy over proposed changes in IAS Cadre rules: Opposition, ex-bureaucrats write to PMO" video.
@aldrineabisheck5426 that is irrelevant because the opposition does nothing and come out looking useless. Everyone realizes change is necessary, no one knows how that change should manifest. So if opposition does not present an alternative version of change then 1. Nobody will believe them. 2. They can't build consensus. 3. No support on the ground. 4. BJP pushes things unopposed. What do you think the BJP has been doing all this while in the opposition? They went on the ground and presented an alternative. Gujarat model, Hindutva, corruption free etc.

Govt used it's majority and passed farm bills. Govt with a majority doesn't mean opposition just sits there doing nothing. Where is their proposal? Where is their ground work? If a BJP with 4 MPs in Rajiv Gandhi's 400+ majority Parliament could give him a lot of trouble over his brute majority, then the opposition with 100+ MPs can do way more. Stop making excuses for a useless opposition. They can neither oppose nor propose.

@k.ragavrajvikas6257 if opinion is just simply complaining without a counter proposal then I think we need a better opposition and a better definition of opinion.
