  1. It is too early to say what the impact is going to be. India with it's large population and diverse cultures tends to throw a fast spin ball if you focused on one issue without considering others That said if movement was successful, then it would have resulted in more protests outside of the Hindi heartland particularly in Maharashtra which has a lot of disgruntled farmers. (Basically, I'm trying to say the issues that BKU screams about are not the same as Maha farmers. Maharashtra farmers are disgruntled with the nexus between local Coop banks and the politicians). That said, UP 2022 is the one to watch. If UP stays BJP with a comfortable margin then the farmer's movement is going the way of YFE or India Against Corruption and the Anna Hazare movement.
