  1. I don't think Modi fears discussing about Pegasus. He probably doesn't know who used it. Our Intelligence agencies have 0 oversight, 0 accountability. The ridiculously complex red tape in our Bureaucracy makes it impossible to track simple things like status of an infrastructure project (A union minister needs to wait 4 days for a status of land acquisition). Now extend that same culture of opaqueness to National security. Everyone wants to scape goat Modi, but no one cares about the real issue of lack of accountability. Congress MP Manish Tiwari introduced a private member's bill to bring some level of oversight and accountability in Parliament (The Intelligence Services (Powers and Regulation) Bill), Rahul Gandhi didn't bother bringing it to the floor. None of the other opposition MPs bothered. Now that bill is probably dead, like it was back in 2011 and again in 2019. Our opposition is only angry over the violation of their Princely privilege of privacy afforded to them and not the fundamental right to privacy given to us by the Constitution.
