Punjabi farmers killed Punjabi industry. The farmer's demand for free electricity killed the State's fiscal capacity. So while India was booming in the 2000s, Punjab was adding cess after cess on residential and industrial electricity tariffs to cover the shortfall. While China was selling boxing gloves at Rs. 30/unit (Punjab used to own that market), Punjabi manufacturers were charging around Rs. 50/unit which includes about Rs. 15 in cess owe to Punjab Govt. Today Punjab is completely de-industrialized - local industries have shifted from Punjab to Lower Himachal Pradesh. Today Himachal Pradesh manufactures more goods in a year than Punjab in the past 5 years. Lesson here is if you listen to Punjabi farmers, say goodbye to any industry and start saving for a ticket to Canada. Fun fact: 1. Punjab was charging a Gaurashak cess before BJP even came up with the concept of Gaurashak tax. 2. Jalandar used to be the Shenzen of Sports equipment manufacturing until the late 2000s.

@raviinder6406 and they are stupid. They are hell bent on killing Punjab's economy and drag India along with it.

@raviinder6406 don't drag Mahabharata into the stupidity of Punjabi farmers.

@raviinder6406 because Mahabharata is not about courage, it is not about bravery or machismo. The characters in Mahabharata have intellect which these protesting Punjabi farmers lack. If you still insist, then a stupider version of Duryodhana and Dussassana is more apt description of the behaviour of Punjabi farmers.

Thank you to you, your family and Marathi kisan for not demanding freebies and tanking Maharashtra's industries. It is very much appreciated.

@VikrantChaudhary-r3d yes I did watch it and he made some decent points. But Western countries are only exploiting people who want to be exploited. In India, you only invite interference, no Western country is really interested in interfering in our domestic politics - it's too complex for career bureaucrats.
