  1. DK I think you are overthinking on this one. Belgavi is a political compulsion that no one wants to reopen. Let me tell you a story of Eknath Shinde, Pramod Sawant and a few others in the BSS party. Back in the 80s when Belgaum issue was flaring up, a bunch Maharashtra politicians took the train to Belgaum, Shinde and 50-60 others were part of that group. KN Govt (forgot who the CM was) arrested them all, put them on buses and sent the bus towards Goa. The bus stopped in the middle of the forest and released the Sainiks and returned. The Sainiks had to walk about 4-5 days through a dense forest road before they were able to get help to get back to Maharashtra. Shiv Sainiks have privately admitted not to agitate and bring up the issue.
