  1. "Is it worth the risk?", it depends on your objective. Let's take Modi at his word and assume he is building a party for the future. Then the risk of upstaging regional "legacy" satrap for more a professional cadre or dynamic younger leadership is worth the effort. Let's assume, BJP wins RJ (likely), MP (tough), CG (toss up), what would that mean for these State party organization? Does it mean, the party will become more professionalized? You are no longer depending on someone's Kaka, Mama, Nani (or stardom) for enter into politics?
