  1. Shekarji, come and live in Maharashtra. Centre state politics was always fractured. Outside of the Hindi heartland, States with strong local cultures always has the space for local leaders. This was always a point of contention between Delhi and the States.

  2. Also counterpoint - CMs will do whatever will get them elected. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign is a good example. Centre launches BBBP campaign, TMC launches their own counter campaigns like Kanyashree. In specific ways, it has made States more competitive with the Centre.

  3.  @bhai857  indeed. Thane Municipal elections (Sena stronghold) is going to be the real litmus for Konkan region. If they lose TMC, they are looking at trouble.

  4.  @BRIJESHKUMAR-pm4hh  not necessarily. Bonmai and Fadnavis have their own strong local following (co-incidentally also the non hindi heartland states with significant BJP following). Gujarat is more an exception to the rule, given that Modi himself is from Gujarat.
