Eknath convinced a LOT of heavyweights who can bring the money and have mass appeal. - Pratap Sarnaik - big money guy - Sanjay Gaiwak - big money guy and sugarcane producer leaders (also owns a coop bank in Buldana) - Abdul Sattar - Aurangabad heavyweight - AIMIM counterweight - Yogesh Kadam - Ramdas Kadam's son - Konkan heavyweight. He has taken a huge chunk of the Sena votebase. Suburbs, Thane Urban and Palghar MLAs are with Eknath.

  3. Uddhav, did not learn from Maratha history. I don't think he learnt anything beyond Shivaji Maharaj. Maratha political culture prefers a symbolic head and administrative control is given to it's Peshwas, Amatya, Prathinidhi. Dighe and Shinde used to style themselves as the local Peshwa or Prathinidhi.
