Comments by "M Shastri" (@libshastra) on "Why Punjab is not pro-Khalistan, Amritpal crisis a JV between BJP u0026 AAP : Partap Singh Bajwa" video.
Jyoti has been warning us about "Waris De Punjab" and their extremism for years. We kept ignoring it. When Amritpal was roaming around rural Punjab abusing drug rehab to further violent cause, the Congress kept warning us about it. We kept ignoring it. None of that happened. They dismissed Khalistani movement even existed and blamed everything on Hindutva.

@anujsethi7845 sure, they can set it up in Canada. There's Brampton and Surrey, it's almost Jatt Khalsa Raj.

@anujsethi7845 Punjab was never yours to begin with. Punjabi culture came from "ganga people". Granth itself derives it's philosophy from Adi Shankara's Advaita. Own culture my ass, you take stuff from Hindu text and claim it's original - that's plain nonsense.

@anujsethi7845 Buddha and Nanak are both prayed as hindus and there are temples with both Buddha and Nanak. Tu kaunsa Khalistani desh se aaye hai pe? Clearly you don't live in India.

In TN, a Sikh congregation runs an Old age home. The owner of the home sings thirukurral to them everyday every morning. Sikhs are wonderful people.

@anujsethi7845 Yes I have. Have you read the Brahmasutras? You will find your answers.

@shubhamsharma8867 Granth does accept the authority of the vedas - without that, sikhism has no investigative framework to understand it's own philosophy. Authority here doesn't mean Granth is subservient to the Vedas but rather it accepts the concepts such as atman, brahman, maya etc are canonical in it's texts. Sikhi philosophers still read Adi Shankara's Brahmsutras to interpret and understand Granth better. Almost every Advaitan center of learning there's a significant Sikhi congregation.
