  1. The data varies largely because of their methodology. For eg: CMIE doesn’t consider household work like servants as employment but govt does. Both have valid reasons for their considerations. That’s why CMIE shows lower rates but Govt numbers show a higher rate.

  2. I’ve always maintained she’s a pretty good finance minister, though I am disappointed that she hasn’t kept up her promise on DESH bill or pushed for labor liberalization.
