  1. I think there is a difference between BJP and Congress high command. You can expect the BJP to reform itself should the situation become evident to them that High Command culture is not working for them. Congress on the other hand, even if you write down and explain to them like they are a 5th std student, why reform is required in their party, they will still stick with the Gandhis and largely leave it's High command intact.

  5.  @manjulashanmugasundaram706  it has been a dynastic/family run party since Indira Gandhi. 1991 was a fluke because RaGa was pretty young and Sonia was in fragile emotional state after Rajiv's assassination.

  6.  @manjulashanmugasundaram706  aaah I missed that point. I doubt BJP will become dynastic, it goes against the ethos of the RSS. If the BJP becomes dynastic, the RSS itself will splinter it from within.

  8.  @pradhyudh  RSS goes with whatever the Hindu Middle class supports. I don't think the Hindu middle class has the appetite dynastic parties. On the other hand, they want to actively participate in politics. They are the patrons of the Sangh Parivar - BTW the Sangh offers services that the Govt should have offered like Legal Aid, Education, Dispute resolution etc. and helps organize temple projects like expanding and rebuilding temples in slums etc. So before you conclude, Hindu Middle class is 'bigoted' think about the failures of Govts to provide services where it should have.

  9.  @manjulashanmugasundaram706  the INC became dynastic because party positions were appointed based on elite consensus rather than based on popular consensus. Once the significant brokers of the consensus either quit or passed away, consensus got consolidated to one family.
