  1. Disclaimer: I haven't read the article yet. So I'm going by the byline. We shouldn't ignore Pakistan for the seas. Our neighbor is fragile and their contribution to the mess on their western border makes them even more vulnerable to spiralling down to collapse of it's State. The last thing anyone in New Delhi wants is splinter group of the ISI or renegade Islamist group previously supported by the ISI to take advantage of the chaos to get their hands on nukes. We need to improve our own capabilities to monitor and respond (militarily if required) and absolutely put the pressure to force a disarmament of their nuclear weapons stockpile. Happy birthday.
