  1. UP is not Bengal where there's a cultural space to accommodate a regional leader. Given it's proximity to Delhi and the ridiculous amount of seats in UP, it's politics is closely tied to Delhi. If there's a weak leader in the Centre, then local leaders are able fill the vacuum left by the Centre. If leader at the Centre is strong then National leader is usually able to put their weight in UP politics. It has happened with Indira, it is happening with Modi.

  2. Tamil Nadu can build it own highways rather than beg NHAI to build them for you. If Maharashtra can use it's State agencies to pay for it's highway construction why can't TN do that? Also I'm from Maharashtra and my money is feeding your electricity subsidies.

  3. His point is that his father Mulayum would have gone nonetheless and dared Yogi to arrest him. People are flocking to SP because there isn't an alternative not because Akhilesh is some fantastic leader. He's not even a fraction of his father.
