@prashanttrivedi5155 please don't insult centrists by associating them with Congress. Along the same lines, please don't insult liberals by associating them with so called liberals in India. They stain our reputation.

@tomriddle4110 Mahatma Gandhi's economic policy makes Pol Pot economic policy look like child's play. The Fake Gandhi family corrupted the Mahatma's economic thought even further and mixed it with their half assed socialism.

Reforms are good but again we need serious follow through and nurturing. A significant sections of Bharat Sarkar's policymakers still think reforms are fire and forget and there's a significant amount of regulators who thinks they are the Satrap of the sectors they regulate. Right now, GoI and it's regulators act more like a bad parents that drops off their problem child to the babysitter (private sector). Economy, like a child needs to be nurtured, which means follow through and good regulations.

@argonauts3jaka63 Nonsense. 1955 accord soft nationalized almost all heavy industries. Nehru was very much a left socialist. Gandhian economic is very much socialism minus the vanguard and with Sanskrit rebranding. He wanted social trusteeship (essentially labor unions), land distribution and ensure a rural way of life. He also rejected money .... Hmmm Marx's final form of socialism wanted a cashless society. Combine that with his insistence to keep India rural with people wearing khadi clothes and farming just comes off as Pol Pot. It walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck in khadi, surprise it's a duck
