  2.  @devendragautam8476  A security guarantee hasn't diminished the independence of Japan. I think there's a case for a Security alliance, I'm sure both Nepal and Bhutan would welcome us, the latter more so. Bangladesh needs trade and border security. Similarly with Sri Lanka. So what's missing is Indian Armed forces' capability. Let's say we have an alliance with Nepal today, you're opening a new front with China. Now you have 6 sectors instead of the current 3 to deal with.
