DK criticism of BJP national convention is unusually weak. It’s more like “they didn’t meet their goals” in time. But here’s the thing, they are still committed to their goals. It’s not like Congress, where a program is announced in their manifesto, it is launched with gusto and quietly never spoken about once it fails.

@kostubh that’s a decision between RSS and BJP cadres. Sangh has learned a harsh lesson in 2004 and 2009 that going against cadre comes with depressed turnout at the polls.

@PawanDubeyK Adarsh Gram Yojana just got a massive top up in money. But not all Gram panchayats can willy nilly spend that money, they need to put in competitive bids on how they will use it. It is smaller version of Smart Cities. Consultations have improved yo. Look no further than DPDP act - it went through 7 rounds of consultations and 3 re-drafts. Unlike in the Congress era, today Govt depts have to issue mandatory open comment periods, you can send comment via mail, email, website or through NGOs like Civis. I actively participate in the process, my recommendation were incorporated in acts like DPDP Act. Right now as we argue in the comments, Govt is soliciting comments for rule changes for LLP Act (5 days left to put in your comments) and restructuring rules under Companies Act (5 days left), Fitness of Colleges under UGC act (13 days left), comments on Draft Electricity Transmission plan (35 days left), End of Life (management of Vehicles) proposed bill and rules (39 days left) etc. If that's not consultation then you are wilfully blind. Just cause you don't participate in consultations, doesn't mean the Govt doesn't engage in consultations. On the other hand, this Govt has democratized incorporating comments. All you complain about is procedural issues. That is just politics. If Rajiv Gandhi can abuse 12th schedule for his legislative agenda then using money bills or omnibus bills is not a big deal. Do you get paid to spread misinformation with confidence? Here take you Rs. 2 and move on.

@hj2711actually the Modi govt does consult. In any given month there at least 15-17 different public consultations (usually lasting 15-45 days). Just this month the govt is asking people to comment on New standards for rating colleges, new transmission lines policy, rule changes for LLP and Companies. It has improved dramatically compared to the previous govt.

Bullet train, he keeps advertising it as developing new talent and with monthly videos on social media. 15 lakhs toh UPI se mil raha hai, sabko ghar, nal aur toilet ban raha with close 70% coverage now (all three put together). 5 trillion hasn’t been abandoned like UPA’s numerous programs. BJP doesn’t bury anything, they play their cards well.

@kostubh the guy who holds the file on reservations. He is the Tribal affairs minister and he has the power to accept or reject recognition of “backward status” and derecognition of “backward” status of various Jatis. He also has the power to draft regulations recommended by Rohini commission report should it come to that. You should watch when he is on the floor of parliament during question period. He does not do favors for his own BJP party members.
