  1. This is one of the incisive critique of the State of the Judiciary (and Law Enforcement). I remember Shekarji's talk at CPR around Jan 2020, where you argued with a bunch of Political Scientist (Gil Vernier was really annoyed with you) regarding why you shouldn't simply treat data as reality. This article reminds me of the points you made there. Next time you argue with them, you can point to the stories covered in this article. Very well written. We need more articles that bring out the complexities of our democracy.
